First Clip from The Incredible Burt Wonderstone with Jim Carrey & Steve Carell

This week has brought with it two tremendous new TV spots for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and following shortly behind comes the first clip. Steve Carell and Jim Carrey are front and centre here, and I’ve received a really satisfactory feeling that this is going to be a lot of pleasant next month.

We’ve thankfully received just over two more weeks before it hits the huge screen, so start the countdown now if you haven’t already.

“Superstar magicians Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) have ruled the Las Vegas strip for years, raking in millions with illusions as huge as Burt’s growing ego. But lately the duo’s greatest deception is their public friendship, while secretly they’ve grown to loathe each other.
Facing cutthroat competition from guerilla street magician Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), whose cult following surges with each outrageous stunt, even their show looks stale. But there’s still a chance Burt and Anton can save the act—both onstage and off—if Burt can get back in touch with what made him love magic in the first place.”

Steve Buscemi and Olivia Wilde complete the leading quartet nicely. And starring alongside them are James Gandolfini, Alan Arkin, Melissa Ordway, Brad Garrett, and Jay Mohr.
Don Scardino (30 Rock) is making his feature directorial debut with The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. And judging by what we’ve seen, it’s going to be a memorable one. Scardino is directing from a script co-written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The co-writers are the same duo who penned Horrible Bosses, and naturally that’s a tremendous indication of how brilliant this is going to be.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone will be released on 15^th March in the UK and US, and I can’t wait for that release date to roll around. Here’s the first clip to get you in the mood.
